Meets every Wednesday 8.00pm at Lower Perak Club (LPC), Teluk Intan, Perak, Malaysia.
Together, we see a world where people unite and take action to create lasting change - across the globe, in our communities, and in ourselves.
The aim of this project is to ensure that there are adequate number of trained people in the community who are able to provide First Aid and CPR till medical help arrives. This will save many lives that are lost because no active First Aid and CPR is provided during a medical emergency. On 19 September 2015, 150 students and members of the public were trained by trainers from the St. John Ambulance. After the theoretical lectures they had to practise the skills that they had learned on mannequins. Those certified competent were awarded certificates. 18 members of the Rotary Club of Teluk Intan participated. The Guest of Honour was the local State Assemblyman. The project generated good publicity.
