On 11 August 2019 Rotarian Kee Wei Min was installed as the 68th President of the Rotary Club of Teluk Intan. The installation dinner was held at Restorant Makan Laut Village - his father’s restaurant.

The guest of honour was Honourable Mr Terence Naidu, Elected Representative to the Perak State Legislature Assembly and the District Governor Lioh Cheng Lin.

Around 200 Rotarians, friends of Rotary, Interactors and Teacher Advisors attended this function.

Two new members, Rtn Gejanthiran Manokaran and Rtn Krishna Kumari S. Krishnasamy were inducted into the Rotary Club of Teluk Intan. Former Rotarian Jimmy Chong Thim was welcomed back.

The Rotary Club of Teluk Intan sponsors five Interact Clubs in Secondary Schools and one in a Primary School. The Board of Directors from the five clubs from Secondary Schools were provided a half day training in their roles and responsibilities and setting goals for their year. They were also provided with Rotary knowledge. Workshops were held to give them an opportunity to brainstorm, exchange ideas and develop action plans. 90 Interactors and three Teacher Advisors attended the Seminar. The seminar was conducted by the members from the Rotary Club of Teluk Intan. It was held at the Lower Perak Club, Teluk Intan on 4 August 2018.

On 1st July 2018 Rotarian Chandrasegaran Ramasamy took over as the 67th President of the Rotary Club of Teluk Intan. He is married to Ratha Muthusamy and they have three children.

On 7th July 2018 Sister Club Agreement was signed between the Rotary Club of Southbank, Melbourne, District 9800, Australia and the Rotary Club of Teluk Intan.

Rotary Day 2017-18

The Rotary Day was celebrated on 8 April 2018 starting with a peace walk. Nearly 500 people participated - these included Rotarians, Interactors, Family and Friends of Rotary and the general public. All were dressed in traditional or international costumes. The walk commenced from the Leaning Tower in the town square and concluded in school hall. There the best dressed participants were selected and given hampers. The children had a colouring competition and the winners were given awards. Free health screening was provided, and the local hospital had a blood donation drive and registration for organ donation. All the participants had an opportunity to view the projects done by the club and learn about promoting peace in themselves, in their community and the world. The project was covered by the local press and appeared in three newspapers. It was appreciated by the local member of Parliament who was the guest of honour.

The World Polio Day was celebrated on 26 October 2016 at Lower Perak Club by watching the recording of the Global Update on ending Polio from the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.
 
More than 45 members of the club and guests including 20 Interactors from our four Interact schools attended this function. PAG Surendra, TRF chairman presented End Polio pins to all the Interact Presidents and a End Polio Calendar Pen to all Rotarians.
 
All the four Interact Clubs contributed USD26.50 each to the PolioPlus Fund.

On 11 August 2016 Rotarian Paramanathan was installed as the 65th President of the Rotary Club of Teluk Intan by District Governor Darul Abdullah. One hundred and twenty Rotarians and guests attended the banquet at the Lower Perak Club. Among those present were Interactors from the four Interact Clubs, Principals and Teacher advisors. The Rotary Club of Yala, Thailand was represented by eight members led by their club President Yossakorn Teppabut. Also present were members from the Rotary Club of Trichy, India; Rotary Club Sitiawan, Rotary Club of Seri Changkat Jong, Rotary Club of Lake Gardens Kuala Lumpur and Rotary Club of Greentown.


Outgoing President Gopal recognised the members of his Board and presented the Presidential Citation Certificates to the Presidents of the four Interact Clubs. During his tenure the club received the Gold Presidential Citation from Rotary International President K. Ravindran. The Avenues of Service Citation was presented to Dr Chanderpal Kaur. Md Musha Md Hossain was inducted as a member.
 
Incoming President Paramanathan inducted his Board of Directors after his maiden address.
 
Finally the Club Anniversary and the President’s Birthday were celebrated.

The aim of this project is to ensure that there are adequate number of trained people in the community who are able to provide First Aid and CPR till medical help arrives. This will save many lives that are lost because no active First Aid and CPR is provided during a medical emergency. On 19 September 2015, 150 students and members of the public were trained by trainers from the St. John Ambulance. After the theoretical lectures they had to practise the skills that they had learned on mannequins. Those certified competent were awarded certificates. 18 members of the Rotary Club of Teluk Intan participated. The Guest of Honour was the local State Assemblyman. The project generated good publicity.

On 1st August 2015 Rotarian Gopalkrishnan Manickam was installed as the 64th President of the Rotary Club of Teluk Intan by the Outgoing President Dr. Chanderpal Kaur. One hundred and twenty Rotarians and guests attended the banquet at the Lower Perak Club. Also present were 10 members from the Rotary Club of Yala, Thailand, Interactors from the four Interact Clubs, Principals and Teacher Advisors.

The Guest of Honour was PDG Dr. Rajindar Singh and he represented the District Governor.

President Gopal praised Dr Chandra and her Board of Directors for the great work that they had done. His plan for the year is to strengthen membership, carry out community projects and support The Rotary Foundation.

The highlight of the evening was the induction of seven new members. PDG Dr Rajindar Singh inducted the following as members of the Rotary Club of Teluk Intan:
